Well here I am trying to get a little more blogger savvy. I took some of the advice about finishing the small projects and I think it is working. This is a present for my Great Niece. The Hat is Ann Norlings Fruit Cap Pattern # 10. The Sweater is Minnowknits Tweedle Dee #200 QK. I made them with Sugar and Cream Cotton. The sweater is two strands together and feels like a jacket. (Let's hope it fits her)

These little beauties are for my son's girlfriends. I got the pattern free from www.yarnmarket.com/generate/print_pattern.cfm?product_id=3610

I got a Bernat Alpaca/acrylic blend on sale at AC Moores and I have to admit it was the best 3 or 4 dollars I spent this season. They are so soft. Let's hope they don't break up before Xmas.

These little cuties are Anne Norlings too. I can't find the pattern right now(Cleaning for the Holidays). I made them from Sugar and Cream Cotton. I hope They will pass down to a few neices and nephews. Well it's snowing, sleeting and raining and I think I will go and finish some more gifts. Thanks for the inspiration fellow knitters.

I am so Thankful

Thanks for all your responses to my very first post. As I was reading them it made me think about how Thankful I am. Maybe it is the time of year but I am thankful for so much and I think we need to say it (write it) out loud. It always makes me feel good.

  • I am very thankful for the art of knitting
  • for being creative
  • having a big family
  • for having so many projects I can complain about it
  • for having found this way to communicate with so many other knitters

That's just some of the things I can think of right now. How about you. What are you grateful for ?

So much knitting....So little time

I am new to this blogging business. I'm finding it a little difficult. A lot like my knitting so much to write and so little time. My knitting is getting out of control. I love to start a big complicated project to find that right near the end I get bored and start a little easy slipper or scarf. I have so many projects already started. I look at them all, sitting there, each in a separate bag and I feel overwhelmed. Maybe I need to prioritize and force myself to do them in order.

What do you do to keep things in contol? Do you finish every project? Do you only buy what you are ready to use? Are all creative people scattered or do the really good ones stay organized? I often wonder about these things.

My poor family. Well I must get back to sorting my knitting and deciding what to pack away in the big wooden hope chest my husband bought me in hopes that I would keep my knitting out of the dining room. Boy was he wrong. Well maybe it will come in handy to clean up for the Holidays.
